Earn more for hours worked each day without working MORE

Sitting with a friend of mine not long ago I was asked, “How do you guys do it? How do you deal with NOT having a JOB with a secure salary from a regular company”?

The concept of earning an income in the Relationship Marketing Industry can be terrifying for many people because of the perception there is no security. The fear also comes from a lack of their own abilities to succeed, call it FUD – Fear Uncertainty & Doubt. In my opinion if you have a JOB you’re less secure than someone who is earning an income Relationship Marketing.  The JOB you have in almost every case is simply not yours, the company let’s you occupy the space.  At any time the company could decide to have a reduction in work force (RIF) and your once considered secure income is gone.

Traditional jobs have benchmarks that must be met for obvious reasons. If you don’t perform up to these benchmarks you’re at risk. Employers have a business to run and profits to meet, employees are a key component to those achieving these goals but they’re also the highest cost to doing business, as well so expecting results is a must.

A little history about me and why I think feel I can write about this topic.  I owe much of my business experience to my good friend Jim who hired me as a Customer Service Rep when I was fresh out of the Air Force.  I went from a CSR to VP of Operations with the company in roughly 6 years and earned a very nice salary in the process.  Suzette & I took employment to the next step and decided became employers after we purchased 50% of the company from Jim.  Talk about a whole new perspective on business! I guess that happens when your name is signed on the front of the pay checks instead of the back!

The great thing about the Relationship Marketing industry is that you get paid based on your efforts and the efforts of others. If you don’t perform and build your organization guess what, you don’t get paid!  Relationship Marketing is the ultimate measure of performance!

We all exchange Time for Money, it’s a matter of how much money can you earn for the time you invest.

How do you earn more money by working less?  Think about it this way;

In a traditional job you work 8-10 hours a day and earn either a flat salary or an hourly wage, the only way you can earn more is by working more.  If you happen to be a commissioned sales person you may also earn a base salary + commissions so your upside income potential is greater and more inline with personal performance, but again that income is also at risk because of that same performance or lack there of.

In Relationship Marketing you share product and income opportunities with others as your Team grows so does your income. You’re now able to leverage far more hours per day then you’d ever be able to work yourself. If you have 500 people on your team and each one works just one hour per day building their teams, that’s 500 hours worked on your behalf!  Plug in any number of hours or team members you like, the math is the math.  Have 2000 team members, one hour per day that’s 2000 hours being worked each day that you can get paid for, that’s 250 eight hour work days!

Okay what’s the downside? The 500 partners don’t do their hour a day or they don’t show up for work.  Pick your attrition rate, pick your participation rate and plug in numbers and do the math, it’s simply the laws of compounding and duplication.

One last thing, you can create all of this PART TIME! Should someone quit a full-time income JOB when they start a Relationship Marketing business? Of course not, start it part time!

If you’re thinking Relationship Marketing is scary I’d say relying on a JOB is what’s really scary!
